Departure times can be arranged to suit your requirements, the best fishing is usually early morning or late evening

4 hours depending on weather and how the fish are biting.
WHAT WE CATCH
Most common species is Snapper but other species caught include John Dory, Kahawai, Gurnard and Kingfish generally rated as the best fighting fish pound for pound in the sea
WHAT TO BRING
No matter what the season it always pays to bring a jacket, water and sunscreen, even in winter there can be quite a glare off the water. A good solid chilly bin to take home your catch. Salt flake ice can be purchased at Thames Wholesale and Fish Supply at the Shortland Wharf.

Trips cost $140 NZD per person
(effective from Sept 2026)
Boat minimum charge of $840NZD (6 people) with a maximum of 10 people per boat. We do not mix crews.
